Achievements:

I was fortunate enough to attend a school that as part of their mission statement was to produce all rounded individuals due to the schooling process.  I actively took part in academic, cultural and sporting activities.  I believe that my involvement in activities such as the school choir enhanced my ability to work with people as part of a team and work co-operatively no matter what the situation.  House activities helped me understand that every bit of work done counts and that no one is meaningless.  My time spent as a Public Relations Officer required me to be responsible, punctual and to take the initiative.  It also taught me personal skills and problem solving.  I believe that the five years that I spent at high school were well spent and that they shaped me into a dynamic individual that could handle almost any situation that I might be placed into and to enjoy life as it comes.

The work that I have done has all required me to communicate with people and to manage my time effectively. I had to do my own research into a field that I had previously not ventured into, so that I could do my job properly. I have also had to understand terminology of the systems I was working with so that I could product accurate and correct results.

I am presently studying for and Electrical Engineering Degree at the University of Cape Town.  I see my time spent at UCT as a wonderful time to develop and extend my skills that I have already acquired, and to learn new skills that shall be of use in later life.  I am involved in societies at university and am actively involved in my career development.  I anticipate entering the electronics or telecommunications industry when I leave UCT.
